Fine Art & Smoking Darts is a San Diego–based trio playing funk-blues with grit and groove. Originally formed in Minneapolis, the band relocated to Southern California to expand their sound and build a presence on the West Coast live circuit. The lineup — Matt Schatza on guitar and vocals, Sam Licari on bass, Adam Lain on drums — leans into deep musical chemistry and a wide stylistic range, weaving blues, funk, roots rock, and a touch of country into a set that's loud, lyric-rich, and built for crowds.

In 2026, the trio tracked five new songs at F5 Soundhouse with an EP on the way, and they currently serve as the house band for QCTV's An Evening with Jimmy Good — a Saturday-night-live-style program spotlighting community members who don't usually get the spotlight.
